Thought I would bring an update on the Missing Person's Ad, which is well over due; Of Course.
They say Time is A Healer - and it's true. Over Time it's eased up so much, Infact it's become something completely new now.
You see, now I see her from time to time. Occasionally at the pub, she'll wander through and say something sarcastic and viciously entertaining, or she'll pick up my niece and genuinely enjoy a good cuddle. We even went shopping together! Just us! Pottering around town, doing nice things for my Mother, singing along to Pop tunes - it was odd, but a release.
We don't really talk much, it seems to be more of a slow, mutual comprehension of her. More in the sense of Osmosis - the more times I see her, the more I absorb of who and where she is.
She's still slim, which is lovely to see. I saw her this morning. She was sitting on the bench in the garden, all long dark hair and big grey eyes. She's still wearing her silver chains and bangles. Tight jeans and tan jumpers, coupled with white tank tops and woolly boots. She looks good. Sitting on my bench and smoking a cigarette, her mind drifting to the impending moment when she has to leave for college.
I turn around and shuffle back inside, because she's gone. I curl up with my laptop and settle back into my blog... trying to explain all this to anyone... but most of all to myself, I guess...
